Whitehorse:  Interim Liberal Leader Darius Elias issued a statement today about the tragic deaths that occurred in Porter Creek over the weekend.

“On behalf of the Yukon Liberal Party, I’d like to express my heartfelt condolences to the friends, neighbours and relatives of Bradley, Valerie, Gabriel and Rebecca Rusk and Donald MacNamey,” said Elias. “Their recent passing has shocked and saddened our entire Yukon community.”

“This will no doubt be especially difficult for the friends and classmates of the Rusk children to comprehend and digest.  My heart goes out to these young individuals and I wish the teachers and grief counselors all the best in helping them deal with this tragic loss.”
