BURWASH LANDING – Math’ieya Alatini has been acclaimed as the Yukon Liberal candidate in Kluane through an uncontested nomination for the party on September 1st, 2016. 

Alatini finishes her second term as the Chief of the Kluane First Nation later this summer and she has much to be proud of over the last 6 years: a partnership with Kluane National Park for an exclusive fly-in resort, mining agreements with industry and Yukon Government, new housing for citizens, energy self-sufficiency and food security projects and improvements to self-government processes, to name a few.

WHITEHORSE – Pauline Frost has been acclaimed as the Yukon Liberal candidate in Old Crow through an uncontested nomination for the party on August 30^th, 2016.  As a citizen that has worked for the Vuntut Gwitchin Government in numerous senior capacities, it is a natural transition for her to seek election to the Yukon Legislative Assembly in this year’s territorial election.

WHITEHORSE – Ted Adel has won the Yukon Liberals candidate contest in the riding of Copperbelt North on Monday, August 29, 2016.  233 ballots were cast at the Mt. MacIntyre Recreation Centre, seeing Adel win the majority after a nomination contest with Raj Murugaiyan and Mike Pemberton. More than 260 people took out memberships with the Yukon Liberals to participate in the vote.

WHITEHORSE – Eileen Melnychuk has successfully been nominated as the Yukon Liberal candidate for Porter Creek North. Melnychuk won a majority of 104 votes cast at the Mt. MacIntyre Recreation Centre in a contest with Mike Tribes.

WHITEHORSE – Nils Clarke has become the Yukon Liberals’ candidate for Riverdale North in a contested nomination bid with Sunny Patch on Tuesday, August 9^th, 2016.
