WHITEHORSE – The Yukon Liberal Party is pleased to share that Debra-Leigh Reti has stepped forward in Vuntut Gwitchin, and Lael Lund has put her name forward in Watson Lake–Ross River–Faro.

Debra-Leigh brings years of leadership experience in the North, with a strong record of service to her community. She is well known for her collaborative approach, her work on local initiatives, and her ability to bring people together around solutions that matter. Her decision to step forward reflects her deep commitment to Old Crow and to the well-being of all Yukoners.

Lael, who grew up in Watson Lake, has built her life and her businesses in the community. She understands the opportunities and challenges faced by Watson Lake, Ross River, and Faro because they are her home. Her roots run deep in the region, and she brings an entrepreneurial spirit and a determination to ensure her communities’ voices are heard as Yukon plans for the future.

With Debra-Leigh and Lael adding their names to the Yukon Liberal team, the Party continues to demonstrate the strength and diversity of people stepping forward. Together, the Yukon Liberals are focused on housing, health care, affordability, and working in partnership with First Nations governments and communities to build a stronger territory.

"I’m honoured to put my name forward at this important time for our communities. I’m ready to listen, advocate, and help deliver for people across Old Crow and the North."
