Whitehorse – Yukon Liberals will select a candidate for the riding of Whitehorse West on Tuesday, April 19^th, 2016.

The meeting will be held at 7 PM at the Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre.

To be eligible to vote at the nomination meeting, voters must reside in the riding of Whitehorse West and either:

• Be members of the Yukon Liberal Party who submitted their membership forms prior to April 12^th at 7:00 PM, or

• Be immediate past members of the Yukon Liberal Party whose membership expired after April 19th, 2015 and renew their memberships at any time up to the start of the meeting.

The meeting room will be open at 6 PM, 1 hour prior to the start of the meeting, to allow immediate past members to renew their memberships.

Liberal Campaign Committee Chair Laura Cabott says the membership cut off has now passed and over 200 members are eligible to vote at the meeting. 

“With two great candidates out talking to voters over the last number of months the membership roll has ballooned substantially,” said Cabott.    

Ramesh Ferris and Richard Mostyn are both seeking the nomination.  The meeting is open to the public and members of the media.
