The Yukon Liberal Party announced details of the upcoming leadership convention to a crowded house at the annual Leader’s Dinner.

The Leadership convention will be held in Whitehorse on January 28th. Candidate packages are available through the Yukon Liberal Party and rules for candidates are posted on www.ylp.ca. The deadline for candidates to submit their application package is January 7th.

The convention will offer Liberal party members the opportunity to vote in person. Those unable to attend do have the option to vote by proxy. Each member can cast one proxy vote. Voting will be conducted using a ranked preferential ballot process. Multiple rounds of voting may be required.
