Jeremy Harper confirmed as Yukon Liberal Party candidate for Mayo-Tatchun
PELLY CROSSING - Jeremy Harper, the incumbent Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Mayo-Tatchun and a Selkirk First Nation citizen from Pelly Crossing, has officially been confirmed as the Yukon Liberal Party candidate for the upcoming territorial election. A proud Northern and Southern Tutchone man, Jeremy announced his intention to seek re-election motivated by the encouragement of his community and Elders.
Jeremy has deep roots in the riding, having lived in both Carmacks and Mayo, and now residing back home in the community of Pelly Crossing. Throughout his time in office, he has been a strong advocate for sport and youth mental health supports, with a focus on meeting people where they’re at - particularly in rural communities. Jeremy also served as one of the youngest-ever Speakers of the House.
As an incumbent MLA, Jeremy was eligible for direct confirmation and was acclaimed as the candidate, reflecting the Party’s confidence in his continued leadership.
The territorial election must occur on or before November 3, 2025.
