Jon Weller confirmed as Yukon Liberal candidate for Mountainview

WHITEHORSE – The Yukon Liberal Party is proud to announce that Jon Weller has been confirmed as the official Yukon Liberal candidate for Mountainview in the upcoming territorial election.

Jon brings over 15 years of experience working on complex, community-driven challenges in the areas of sustainability, land use planning, community development, and the conservation of natural and cultural heritage. His background includes work with academic institutions, non-profit organizations, and all levels of government - giving him a broad, practical understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing Yukoners today.

Jon has a deep appreciation for the realities of life in northern communities and is known for his ability to work collaboratively with Indigenous governments and other partners. He’s skilled at navigating technical and legal complexities while staying grounded in what matters most: delivering meaningful, lasting results for people and communities.

As a long-time Northerner and a thoughtful, solutions-focused leader, Jon is ready to bring his voice, values, and experience to the Legislative Assembly on behalf of Mountainview.
