Whitehorse – Yukon Liberals will select candidates in three more ridings in the weeks ahead, beginning with Porter Creek Centre on July 26^th.

The Nomination Meeting to select a candidate in the riding of Porter Creek Centre will be held at 7:00 PM at the Church of the Northern Apostles.

To be eligible to vote at the nomination meeting, voters must reside in the riding of Porter Creek Centre and either:

 - Be members of the Yukon Liberal Party who submitted their membership forms prior to July 19th at 7:00 PM, or be immediate past members of the Yukon Liberal Party whose membership expired after July 26, 2015.

Paolo Gallina and Karlo Krauzig have announced their intentions to seek the nomination. Nominations remain open until July 24th.

The Nomination Meeting to select a candidate in the riding of Copperbelt South, will be held on July 28, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Pioneer RV Park & Campground.

To be eligible to vote at the nomination meeting, voters must reside in the riding of Copperbelt South and either:

 - Be members of the Yukon Liberal Party who submitted their membership forms prior to July 21, 2016 at 7:00 PM, or be immediate past members of the Yukon Liberal Party whose membership expired after July 28, 2015.  

Rose Sellars and Jocelyn Curteanu have announced their intentions to seek the nomination.  Nominations remain open until July 26, 2016.

The Nomination Meeting to select a candidate in the riding of Mountainview, will be held on August 2nd, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Grey Mountain Room at Mt McIntyre.

To be eligible to vote at the nomination meeting, voters must reside in the riding of Mountainview and either:

 - Be members of the Yukon Liberal Party who submitted their membership forms prior to July 26, 2016 at 7:00 PM, or be immediate past members of the Yukon Liberal Party whose membership expired after August 2, 2015.

Mike Gladish has announced his intention to seek the nomination. Nominations remain open until July 31, 2016.

Liberal Campaign Committee Chair Laura Cabott says this round of meetings will bring the number of nominated candidates to 12.

“Yukon Liberals are building a great team and are focused on bringing positive change to the Yukon,” she said. “More meetings will be scheduled over the summer months.”

The meetings are open to the public and members of the media.
